Frosted

It was REALLY cold last night and this back window was frosted.


I couldn't resist cropping a bit of the center.


Taken with the Nikon Coolpix P100 in Aperture priority mode with manual focus.

    These are very cool! I like how the top one makes the trees, not the window, look frosty!

    Frost never ceases to amaze. I guess because like snowflakes, it always looks different. Nice capture with your new camera!

    Gee that is a nice camera. Maybe I should take my d5000 I just got for Christmas back & get one like yours.I just tried using priority settings & it was not successful.

    I agree with Val. I like the effect it has on the first image. Amazing how something can be so beautiful and awful at the same time!!

    Yes! I'd say that's certainly a "cool" picture! I love the frilliness of the crystals, and the blacks and whites in the background. I especially like the cropped one.

    nowadays it's very seldom you see the kind of "icy flowers", when I was a child, I loved them on the windows' glass.

    Frost makes such wonderful patterns, the cropping shows the details perfect. Having the same camera as you have I think I have to try it out a bit more....seems it was a good choice dependeing on the one behind the camera :-)
